Alstom Hit With €91M Fine For Generator Price-Fixing

Law360, New York (August 12, 2010, 3:40 PM EDT) -- Germany's antitrust watchdog has fined a unit of power plant equipment supplier Alstom SA €91 million ($117 million) for allegedly fixing prices on large steam generators.

The German Federal Cartel Office, or Bundeskartellamt, said Thursday it had fined Alstom Power Systems GmbH, based in Mannheim, and two former managing directors for an alleged scheme to set quotas and prices and distribute customers in the power plant supplier industry.
