US-Bahrain Trade Pact Changes Won't Hurt US: ITC

Law360, New York (August 12, 2010, 7:25 PM EDT) -- Changing the U.S.-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement rules of origin for certain home furnishings containing combed cotton yarns would likely have little or no impact on total U.S. trade and no effect on U.S. producers of cotton yarns, according to a U.S. International Trade Commission report released Thursday.

The report, titled Certain Combed Cotton Yarns: Effect of Modification of U.S.-Bahrain FTA Rules of Origin, was submitted to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative in July, but a public version of the report was just released....
