Greenpeace Notches Win In Nuclear Power Dispute

Law360, New York (February 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The British unit of environmental group Greenpeace on Thursday won an important legal victory against efforts by the U.K. government to build new nuclear power plants in the country.

A judge in the Royal Courts of Justice in London agreed with Greenpeace that the government’s energy authority had failed to fully consult the public before issuing its official policy in support of a new fleet of nuclear power stations.
