Nokia Fights Apple Bid To Add Patents To ITC Case

Law360, New York (August 17, 2010, 4:49 PM EDT) -- Nokia Corp. has asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to reject a request by Apple Inc. to add two patents to its case accusing the Finnish technology company of infringing patents related to mobile communications devices.

In a filing with the ITC on Monday, Nokia argued that Apple should not be allowed to add new patents to the case because the proposed allegations are based on publicly available source code to which Apple had access when it filed its initial complaint in January.
