Court Tells Visteon To Pay Retiree Benefits

Law360, New York (August 17, 2010, 5:39 PM EDT) -- The judge overseeing the Visteon Corp. bankruptcy reportedly ordered the company Tuesday to retroactively pay benefits to retirees the company had cut off.

Both the retirees themselves and the U.S. trustee had pushed the court to force Visteon to extend benefits to all retirees, following a July decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit that went in their favor.
