MoFo Reps Intel On $7.7B McAfee Deal

Law360, New York (August 19, 2010, 5:07 PM EDT) -- Intel Corp. has struck a deal to acquire McAfee Inc. through a $7.7 billion cash purchase of the software maker’s common stock, the companies announced Thursday.

The computer chip titan has agreed to buy all of McAfee’s stock at $48 per share — a 62 percent premium on McAfee’s closing stock price Wednesday — following a unanimous decision by both companies’ boards of directors to approve the deal, the companies said.
