CA Shareholder Wins Bid To Compel Settlement Info

Law360, New York (February 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A dissident shareholder of software maker CA Inc. may be closer to recovering allegedly ill-gotten gains from former directors and executives after a state judge reportedly ordered several law firms to fork over evidence that could shed light on the way a $140 million civil class action settlement was reached.

The shareholder, Sam Wyly, has been seeking access to evidence relating to the settlement, which was reached in 2003 in connection with a $2.2 billion accounting fraud scandal at Computer Associates, now known as CA Inc....
