Citing Skilling, Prosecutors Drop Westar Case

Law360, New York (August 23, 2010, 4:24 PM EDT) -- Federal prosecutors have dropped their case against two former Westar Energy Inc. executives accused of trying to bilk the Kansas public utility of millions of dollars, citing the U.S. Supreme Court's recent decision overturning Jeffrey Skilling's honest services fraud conviction.
