Utility Drops Battle With Boulder Over Energy Credits

Law360, New York (February 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The city of Boulder has reached a tentative agreement with Xcel Energy, putting to rest a lawsuit over who deserves the credit for the hydroelectric power that is currently being produced.

On Friday, the Colorado city revealed that the utility has agreed to evenly share the renewable energy credits (REC) for the hydroelectric power that provides electricity to about 8,000 homes.
