Religious Charities Exempt From Title VII: 9th Circ.

Law360, New York (August 25, 2010, 1:10 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has ruled that faith-based humanitarian organizations are exempt from the Civil Rights Act's prohibition against religious discrimination in hiring, upholding a win for World Vision Inc. in a case brought by three former employees who were fired for their religious beliefs.
