Ex-Wachovia Employee Files $12M Suit Over 'Bias Firing'

Law360, New York (August 26, 2010, 1:57 PM EDT) -- An ex-financial specialist at Wachovia Corp.'s New York offices has filed a $12 million lawsuit against the bank, claiming he was fired because he became sick with leukemia.

Michael B. Pressman, a 25-year-old graduate of Boston University who quickly rose to make nearly $200,000 per year at the bank's broker-dealer division, says he was sacked after he warned his supervisor he might have to take a day off here and there to undergo treatment for his illness.
