Fla. Reaches Deal In CERCLA Suit Against DOL

Law360, New York (August 26, 2010, 5:34 PM EDT) -- The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has reached a settlement in a suit seeking to hold the U.S. Department of Labor and Gainesville, Fla., liable for the cleanup of a site contaminated with trichloroethylene, vinyl chloride and polychlorinated biphenyls.

Judge Stephan P. Mickle of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida approved FDEP's voluntary dismissal of the suit Wednesday, after the parties signed a consent decree in July.
