Colo. Eases Permitting To Boost Hydropower Projects

Law360, New York (August 26, 2010, 12:39 PM EDT) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has reached an agreement with Colorado that will allow the state to streamline the permitting process and reduce cost barriers for small-scale hydropower projects.

The memorandum of understanding between FERC and Colorado will make it easier to develop the hundreds of sites in the state with a potential to generate five megawatts or less of hydropower, officials said Wednesday.
