Amvac Fights EPA Ban On Pesticide PCNB

Law360, New York (August 30, 2010, 4:22 PM EDT) -- American Vanguard Corp. has filed suit over a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ban on the chemical maker's pesticide pentachloronitrobenzene, claiming that it never got a chance to challenge the order, which will cost millions in lost sales.

Amvac filed a complaint Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, alleging that the EPA's order came “out of the blue” and will cause the greatest possible damage to the company.
