Apple Reaches iPhone Settlement With Cisco

Law360, New York (February 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Apple Inc. and Cisco Systems Inc. have settled the brief yet high-profile trademark infringement dispute triggered by Apple’s recently unveiled iPhone device, allowing both companies to sell products globally under the same name.

The Silicon Valley heavyweights announced the settlement late Wednesday, just as the deadline loomed for Apple to file a response to Cisco’s complaint, filed Jan. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California
