Russia Must Reopen Market To US Poultry: Sens.

Law360, New York (August 31, 2010, 1:04 PM EDT) -- Months after Russia agreed to lift a ban on poultry products from the U.S., a group of senators has accused the Russian government of backpedaling on its commitment and instead further restricting imports.

The senators, including Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio; and Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, sent a letter to Russian ambassador Sergey I. Kislyak on Monday complaining that Russia had failed to reopen its doors to chicken products from the U.S. and demanding immediate action.
