Tecumseh Wants Indirect Purchaser Antitrust Suit KO'd

Law360, New York (August 31, 2010, 1:48 PM EDT) -- Tecumseh Products Co. has moved to toss a price-fixing suit brought by indirect purchasers of its refrigerant compressors, saying the purchasers are too far removed from the alleged conspiracy to claim it harmed them.

Tecumseh's motion, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, would hobble the antitrust suit against the company if accepted by the court.
