Capmark Tries To Block Creditors' $1.5B Loan Suit

Law360, New York (September 1, 2010, 11:15 AM EDT) -- Capmark Financial Group Inc. and a group of lenders are seeking to sink a bid by creditors to sue Citigroup Inc. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. over a $1.5 billion secured loan the company took out 149 days before filing for bankruptcy.

The debtor, an ad hoc committee of its prepetition secured lenders, Citibank NA and several Goldman lenders on Tuesday filed objections to the unsecured creditors committee's request for permission to sue in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
