Corp. Counsel See Slowdown In Employment Spending

Law360, New York (September 3, 2010, 12:35 PM EDT) -- After a year of soaring labor and employment spending, such expenditures are expected to level off in the coming year as more and more companies look to settle, a new report based on a survey of corporate counsel has found.

The Litigation Outlook 2011, a report by The BTI Consulting Group Inc. (Wellesley, Mass.) projects that over the next year, corporations will increase spending on employment litigation by 0.8 percent, compared to 3.5 percent for commercial litigation, 2.1 percent for securities and a 1.1 percent drop...
