Chevron Hit With Antitrust Suit From Gas Wholesaler

Law360, New York (September 9, 2010, 3:42 PM EDT) -- An Idaho gas wholesaler has filed suit against Chevron USA Inc., alleging that the oil giant violated antitrust laws and interfered with contracts by giving discounts to distributors that kept prices at a fixed level.

Family-owned Berry Oil, which filed a complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho, alleges that Chevron breached the Clayton Act, the federal Petroleum Marketing Practices Act and the Idaho Anti-Price Discrimination Act and committed tortious interference with contractual and prospective business relationships.
