Harry Potter Author Wins Injunction Against eBay

Law360, New York (February 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- An Indian court has reportedly granted an injunction to J.K. Rowling, the popular author of the Harry Potter series, to stop the Indian version of eBay from auctioning off illegal copies of her books.

It was the first time eBay had been required to police its Web site for copyright infringement, according to an article in the Times, a U.K.-based newspaper.
