Czech Republic Hits Toshiba, Others With Antitrust Fines

Law360, New York (September 13, 2010, 6:39 PM EDT) -- Antitrust regulators in the Czech Republic have fined Toshiba Corp., Panasonic Corp. and three other television screen manufacturers a combined 51.8 million koruna ($2.7 million) for an alleged cartel that ran from 1998 to 2004.

The Czech Office for the Protection of Competition said Monday that the companies had taken part in meetings across Asia and Europe over several years to set pricing for display screens.
