Japan Fights Canada's Solar Power Subsidies At WTO

Law360, New York (September 13, 2010, 2:29 PM EDT) -- Japan has reportedly taken aim at Canada over solar power generation subsidies in Ontario, filing a complaint with the World Trade Organization.

Japan's government filed a complaint with the WTO on Monday, arguing that requirements set by the Canadian provincial government of Ontario unfairly favor local firms under a subsidy program designed to boost solar power, according to a report by the Kyodo News.
