Air Products Nominees Win 3 Slots On Airgas Board

Law360, New York (September 15, 2010, 6:30 PM EDT) -- Airgas Inc. shareholders on Wednesday voted to oust three company directors in favor of a slate of nominees favored by Air Products and Chemicals Inc., the rival behind a $5.5 billion hostile takeover bid.

A majority of Airgas stockholders voted to install the Air Products' candidates at the company's annual meeting Wednesday, according to preliminary reports.

The company's stockholders also voted to require all future shareholder meetings, including the upcoming 2011 meeting, to be held in January, a move that could give Air Products the chance...
