Ukraine Fights Armenian Booze, Cigarette Fees In WTO

Law360, New York (September 17, 2010, 1:05 PM EDT) -- Ukraine is seeking to haul Armenia before the Dispute Settlement Body of the World Trade Organization for allegedly charging improperly high taxes and duties on imported cigarettes and alcohol.

Ukraine asked for a panel to investigate the issue on Sept. 8., arguing that Armenia's taxes violate trade agreements, the WTO revealed Thursday.
