Lighting Companies Settle ITC Patent Spat

Law360, New York (September 20, 2010, 4:47 PM EDT) -- Blumberg Industries Inc. has reached a settlement with a Puerto Rican lighting retailer it accused of importing lamps in violation of a design patent and other intellectual property.

Lights & More Inc. has agreed to no longer import lighting products that infringe a design patent, two copyrights and four trademarks held by Miami Lakes, Fla.-based Blumberg, which does business as Fine Art Lamps, according to a joint motion filed Friday with the U.S. International Trade Commission asking to terminate its inquiry.
