IBM To Pay $11M To Settle Actuate Software Suit

Law360, New York (September 20, 2010, 1:36 PM EDT) -- IBM Corp. has agreed to pay $11 million to settle a suit brought by Actuate Corp. that claimed Big Blue infringed a copyright and breached a licensing agreement through the sale of its Tivoli business management software.

The companies reached a deal Thursday to end the dispute the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing from Actuate on Monday.
