EEOC's Bias Suits Against Cintas Dismissed

Law360, New York (September 20, 2010, 7:52 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has thrown out two long-running, consolidated employment discrimination suits filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against Cintas Corp., taking the commission to task for the way it prosecuted the cases.

Judge Sean F. Cox on Monday tossed the EEOC's cases in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, saying it failed to exhaust its administrative remedies before filing the complaints and improperly treated the cases as class actions once it did.
