EPA Pushed To Rein In Locomotive Emissions

Law360, New York (September 21, 2010, 4:01 PM EDT) -- Green groups are pressing environmental regulators to make good on their word and impose limits on greenhouse gas and black carbon emissions from trains under the Clean Air Act.

The Center for Biological Diversity, Friends of the Earth and the International Center for Technology Assessment filed a petition Tuesday exhorting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to set its rulemaking in motion and formulate crucial emissions standards for passenger and freight trains.
