Sud-Chemie To Pay $8M To Settle Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (February 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- CSP Technologies Inc. was awarded $8 million, plus a dismissal with prejudice against its rival, Sud-Chemie Inc., after a judge approved a consent decree in a patent fight between the two companies.

A district court judge in Indianapolis on Tuesday ruled that CSP’s patents are valid and enforceable, and that Sud-Chemie, the plaintiff, had infringed them, McAndrews, Held & Malloy, the law firm representing CSP, announced.
