Court Dismisses Nautilus Patent Lawsuit Vs. Icon

Law360, New York (October 29, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Marking another setback in its litigation against competitor Icon Health and Fitness, Fitness equipment maker Nautilus Group said its patent infringement case against Icon has been dismissed by the U.S. Federal District Court in Seattle.

Nautilus, which sells fitness equipment under the Nautilus, Bowflex, Schwinn and StairMaster brands, claimed that the Crossbow infringes on two patents relating to the Bowflex.

Nautilus said it plans to appeal the case to the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
