CSX Agrees To $9M Cleanup Of Fla. Superfund Site

Law360, New York (September 24, 2010, 2:05 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has approved a consent decree between CSX Transportation Inc. and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under which the shipping powerhouse will shell out $9.15 million to clean up a Florida Superfund site.

Judge John Steele of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida approved the agreement Thursday, settling the EPA’s suit against CSX seeking cleanup and restoration costs for the polluted Nocatee Hull Creosote site in Hull, Fla.
