House Votes To Extend Flood Insurance For 1 Year

Law360, New York (September 24, 2010, 12:47 PM EDT) -- The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a one-year extension of the National Flood Insurance Program, clearing the way for President Barack Obama to sign the legislation before the program is scheduled to expire on Sept. 30.

The House passed the measure by a voice vote on Thursday, two days after it was approved by the Senate. The legislation extends the flood insurance program until Sept. 30, 2011.
