9th Circ. Denies Rehearing On Asarco Land Swap

Law360, New York (September 24, 2010, 5:18 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court is standing by its rejection of a proposed land exchange between mining company Asarco LLC and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management that involved thousands of acres near a copper mine in Arizona.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit issued the ruling Thursday, affirming its initial 2-1 ruling in September 2009.
