8th Circ. Will Not Rehear Mining Co.'s Contract Win

Law360, New York (September 27, 2010, 5:44 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has declined to revisit its finding for Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in a breach of contract action alleging the iron ore producer had post-termination obligations to M.M. Silta Inc. with respect to millions of dollars in unsold iron ore.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit denied M.M. Silta's petitions for a rehearing en banc and for a panel rehearing Thursday, about a month after a panel ruled 2-1 in favor of Cleveland-Cliffs.
