Law360, New York (March 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Despite an attempt by drug wholesalers to block a controversial arrangement between Pfizer Inc. and a drug wholesaling arm of London-based Alliance Boots, a United Kingdom court has allowed the deal—which would force pharmacists to purchase medicines directly from the American pharmaceutical giant—to move forward.
A British high court dismissed an application by the British Association of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers for an injunction to stop the deal, which is set to take effect on Mar. 5, Reuters reported Friday.
