Novartis Contact Lens Patent Invalid, UK Court Affirms

Law360, New York (September 30, 2010, 7:23 PM EDT) -- A London appeals court has handed a victory to Johnson & Johnson Medical Ltd., affirming the invalidity of a European patent it was accused of infringing by rival contact lens manufacturer Novartis AG.

A High Court of Justice Court of Appeal panel on Wednesday issued the judgment in favor of Johnson & Johnson, which makes Acuvue contact lenses.
