Sens. Push For Billions In New Energy Tax Incentives

Law360, New York (October 1, 2010, 4:45 PM EDT) -- Sens. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., and Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, have introduced an energy tax incentive bill that would make $2.5 billion in credits available to manufacturers for investments in renewable and other advanced energy projects.

The Advanced Energy Tax Incentives Act of 2010, introduced Wednesday, would also establish a $1 billion tax credit program for manufacturers to update their existing facilities to increase overall energy efficiency, the senators said.
