Judge Trims API Abestos Coverage Suit Against Zurich

Law360, New York (October 1, 2010, 1:45 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has thrown out part of an amended lawsuit filed against Zurich American Insurance Co. that was brought by an insulation company over some $70 million in asbestos-related coverage claims.

In an order that mirrored an earlier decision in the case, Judge John R. Tunheim on Thursday dismissed three claims from plaintiff API Inc.’s second amended complaint, but left the remaining 11 allegations in place.
