DOI Approves Chevron, Tessera Solar Projects In Calif.

Law360, New York (October 5, 2010, 5:50 PM EDT) -- Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar on Tuesday approved the first-ever large-scale solar energy plants on public land, making Tessera Solar and Chevron Energy Solutions eligible for $304 million in federal stimulus funds.

Tessera and Chevron will be eligible for $273 million and $31 million in funding, respectively, through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 if they begin constructing the solar energy plants by the end of 2010.
