Court Rules for Mattel In Doll Design Dispute

Law360 (October 29, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Toymaker Mattel obtained a European Union-wide injunction against the continuing sale of Simba Toys' "My Style" line of dolls, Mattel said in a statement.

The High Court in London declared that Mattel's unregistered Community Design right in the design of its "My Scene" range of dolls was valid and infringed upon and that Simba Toys had illicitly copied Mattel's design, according to Mattel.
