Allstate Tries To Tag Toyota With $3M In Crash Claims

Law360, New York (October 5, 2010, 12:22 PM EDT) -- Allstate Insurance Co. has taken Toyota Motor Corp. to court to recover more than $3 million paid for accidents allegedly caused by defective accelerators in Toyota vehicles.

The complaint, filed Friday in the Los Angeles Superior Court, initiates yet another legal battle for Toyota as it deals with widespread allegations it concealed now-notorious throttle defects that caused its cars to accelerate without warning.
