Customs Broker Wins Challenge Over Suspension

Law360, New York (October 5, 2010, 7:26 PM EDT) -- A customs broker has prevailed in his suit alleging he was denied due process and could have been put out of business when U.S. Customs and Border Protection suspended his entry filer code for misuse.

Judge Richard K. Eaton of the U.S. Court of International Trade entered judgment Monday in favor of Lizarraga Customs Broker, accepting a promise by Customs that it will not suspend or deactivate the broker's filer code.
