Torys Reps Rogers In $418M Atria Fiber-Optic Buy

Law360, New York (October 6, 2010, 2:20 PM EDT) -- Canadian telecommunications company Rogers Communications Inc. has agreed to buy Atria Networks LP, the owner and operator of one of Ontario's largest fiber-optic networks, for CA$425 million ($418 million), subject to certain adjustments.

Rogers made the announcement Tuesday, saying the acquisition of the privately owned Atria, which provides high-speed Internet connections to businesses, would enhance Rogers' ability to deliver Internet services both inside and outside of Rogers' cable footprint.
