Lawmakers Vow To Mend Veteran Care System

Law360 (March 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- In the wake of revelations that conditions at the top U.S. military veterans' hospital are substandard, lawmakers on Tuesday promised to address similar problems they say may be prevalent throughout the Army’s health care system.

At a meeting of the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services on Tuesday, lawmakers heard testimony from top defense officials regarding the poor conditions at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and vowed to address the bipartisan issue of veteran care across the nation.
