Taiwan To Aid E.U. Licensing Probe

Law360, New York (March 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Taiwan will help the European Commission investigate whether the country broke global trade rules by letting companies make recordable compact discs while sidestepping license payments, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs said on Wednesday.

The ministry said that it is ready to provide whatever information is needed to facilitate the Commission’s inquiry into its recordable compact disk license-granting practices.
