Russian Court Nixes Plastic Co.’s Competition Case

Law360, New York (October 11, 2010, 7:12 PM EDT) -- A Russian court has sided with the country’s competition authority in a claim brought by polystyrene manufacturer Plastic OJSC challenging a finding that the company abused its dominant position in the market for a foamed plastic component.

The Moscow Arbitration Court dismissed Plastic’s attempt to invalidate the determination of Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service on Oct. 5, the agency said Friday.

The company did not immediately respond to a request seeking comment on Monday.
