Bangor Gas Fined $1 Million For Shipping Violations

Law360, New York (March 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bangor Gas Co. agreed to pay $1 million on Wednesday to settle allegations by federal energy regulators that it violated certain restrictions on shipments of natural gas.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission said Bangor resolved its self-reported violations of the Commission’s “shipper must have title” requirements.

In addition to the $1 million penalty, Bangor will submit semi-annual reports to the Office of Enforcement over the next year in order to assure compliance with FERC’s transportation rules.
