Qimonda Seeks To Intervene In Row Over IP Deal

Law360, New York (October 12, 2010, 1:33 PM EDT) -- Troubled German chip maker Qimonda AG, which recently struck a multimillion-dollar intellectual property deal with its bankrupt U.S. subsidiaries, wants a chance to defend the agreement against a bankruptcy appeal from Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Elpida Memory Inc.

Qimonda AG filed motions to intervene Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. Samsung and Elpida appealed a bankruptcy court's decision to approve the deal, which the companies said could jeopardize their licenses for crucial patents related to dynamic random access memory....
