Petters Trustee Sues JPMorgan, Others in Clawback Bid

Law360, New York (October 12, 2010, 7:56 PM EDT) -- The trustee overseeing the bankruptcy of convicted Ponzi schemer Thomas Petters has filed more adversary complaints against companies that invested with Petters, including JPMorgan Chase & Co., Ritchie Capital Management LLC and Acorn Capital Management, placing claims on an estimated $40 billion the fraudsters laundered over the scheme's 10-year run.

Trustee Douglas Kelley filed eight complaints Sunday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota, where he has brought 202 lawsuits in the last month in an attempt to recover funds for creditors....
